A New Chapter: Our Journey from Board Games to RPGs 🎲➡️🐉
At Eruptious Games, we’ve always believed in the power of tabletop games to bring people together—whether it’s through intense strategy, immersive storytelling, or just plain fun. Over the years, we’ve poured our hearts into board games, creating and sharing experiences that have resonated with you all. From our favorite strategic gems to our own Krypto-Nine, the board game world has been an incredible space for us to explore.
But recently, something has been calling to us. 🧙♂️✨ As much as we love board games (and rest assured, they’re here to stay!), we’ve found ourselves drawn deeper into the realm of role-playing games (RPGs)—particularly Dungeons & Dragons. There's just something magical about crafting stories, building worlds, and collaborating on epic adventures that has reignited our creative spark.
So, we wanted to take a moment to share what this shift means for us and, more importantly, for you, our incredible community.
A Gradual Shift into RPGs 🎭🌟
First off, don’t worry—we’re not saying goodbye to board games. In fact, they’ll always have a special place in what we do at Eruptious Games. We’ll continue to feature board game content, reviews, and recommendations, and we’re still developing exciting board game projects.
But alongside our love for board games, we’ve realized that the RPG space offers something truly unique: a blend of storytelling, creativity, and community-building that feels like the next step in our evolution as game designers and enthusiasts. The flexibility and open-ended nature of RPGs like D&D allows us to dive deep into storytelling in ways that board games, with their rules and boundaries, sometimes can’t. 📜🎲
That’s why, over the next few months, you’ll notice a slow but steady increase in our RPG content—starting with Dungeons & Dragons. We’re incredibly excited to share DM tips, world-building guides, character creation tutorials, and more.
We’ll also be working on hosting more RPG sessions, both online and in person, and creating resources to help more people dive into the D&D universe. 🐉⚔️

So, why this shift? What’s drawing us into the RPG world?
Storytelling & Immersion: The heart of RPGs is storytelling. As passionate creators, we love weaving immersive narratives and exploring dynamic worlds. RPGs let us take this to the next level, with endless possibilities for character development, plot twists, and collaborative storytelling.
Player-Driven Creativity: RPGs give players a level of creativity and agency that’s hard to find in other game formats. Every decision, every roll of the dice, and every line of dialogue can shape the world. We want to build more games where YOU are the storyteller.
Community Connection: We’ve always wanted to create experiences that bring people closer together, and RPGs allow for incredible shared experiences. There’s nothing like working with your party to defeat a dragon or navigate a treacherous dungeon. These moments of connection are what fuel our passion for gaming. 🛡️✨

While we’ll continue to celebrate and create board games, here’s what our new direction means for you:
More RPG Content: You’ll start seeing more blog posts, videos, resources centered on RPGs and even a brand new podcast on the horizon. Think campaign-building tips, how-tos for new players, homebrew content, and more!
Community RPG Sessions: We’re planning to host more RPG events for our community, including online sessions, in-person one-shots, introductory sessions, character building tips & tricks and even full-length campaigns that you can be a part of. Whether you’re an experienced DM or new to the game, we want to create a space for everyone to enjoy.
Collaborative Storytelling: We’ll dive deeper into collaborative storytelling experiences, crafting rich worlds, and character arcs that you can explore with friends or on your own. We’re working on exciting new content that embraces the flexibility and depth of RPGs.
Board Games Aren’t Going Anywhere: If you’re here for the board games, don’t worry! We’ll continue to share reviews, strategy guides, and updates on new board games we’re developing. We’re simply adding RPGs into the mix as a way to broaden our horizons and offer something for everyone. 🎲💜
